1. Call to Order: The City Council of the City of Sachse will hold a regular meeting on Monday, April 3, 2023, at 6:30 p.m. to consider the following items of business:
1. Public Comment: The public is invited at this time to address the Council. Please come to the microphone and state your name and city of residence for the record. However, if your remarks pertain to a specific agenda item that will include action/vote, please hold them until that item, at which time the Mayor will solicit your comments. The time limit is 3 minutes per speaker. The City Council is prohibited by state law from discussing any item not posted on the agenda according to the Texas Open Meetings Act but may take comments under advisement. Issues raised may be referred to City staff for research and possible future action.
1. The City Council shall convene into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 𨹿.072, for the purpose of Deliberations regarding the purchase, exchange, lease, or value of real property generally located along Merritt Road, between Sachse Road and Pleasant Valley Road.
2. The City Council shall convene into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 𨹿.071(2) to consult with legal counsel on matters in which the duty of the attorney to the governmental body under the Texas Disciplinary Rules of Professional Conduct of the State Bar of Texas clearly conflicts with Chapter 551 of the Government Code; wholesale water rates imposed by North Texas Municipal Water District (NTMWD) paid by Sachse as a customer city.

Take any action as a result of Executive Session: Discuss and consider a resolution determining the necessity of acquiring real property for the construction of the Merritt Road Realignment and Widening Project, authorizing appropriation of the real property and/or the use of the power of eminent domain to acquire the real property for public use, delegating authority to initiate condemnation proceedings to the City Attorney and City Manager.
