The City of Sachse conducted a citywide community survey during the summer of 2022. The results of the community survey were presented to the City Council at the March 20, 2023, meeting.

Library Manager Daniel Laney will present a summary of the results of the 2022 City of Sachse Community Survey as it pertains to the Library.

BACKGROUND

In order to be accredited by the Texas State Library and Archives Commission, Texas public libraries are required to have a long-range plan approved within the last five years. The Texas State Library and Archives Commission have extended the deadline for the creation of a new long-range plan through July 2023 to give the Sachse Public Library time to incorporate data from the 2022 City of Sachse Community Survey.

 

OVERVIEW

The Library Board will discuss the draft of the narrative portion of the long-range plan.
