THEY SAID THAT THEY WOULD JUST GIVE IT TO STAFF, SO THERE MUST BE A HELL OF A LOT OF PEOPLE IN THIS CITY THAT ARE FIXING TO FOCUS ON THINGS AND THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT. WHY IS THAT?

MOSS BONILLA LOPEZ COMES TO US ON OUR WATER CREW, AND THEN ANDERSON BONILLA, NOT RELATED, HAS ALSO JOINED OUR WASTEWATER CREW, AND THEN JUST A REMINDER TO THE PUBLIC, WE'VE WORKED REALLY HARD TO PUT THIS INFORMATION OUT ON SOCIAL MEDIA BUT JUST A RED IN RESPONSE TO THE RESIDENTS SURVEY.

COUNSEL, AS YOU RECALL, YOU ALL ADDED SEVERAL DIFFERENT PROGRAMMING ADDITIONS TO THE LEISURE SERVICES SIDE OF WHAT WE DO, AND ONE OF THOSE BIG THINGS WAS IMPLEMENTING NEW HOURS.

JUST AS A REMINDER, THE LIBRARY AND THE COMMUNITY CENTER HAVE IMPLEMENTED THEIR NEW HOURS.

THE LIBRARY IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, 09:00 A.M. TO 08:00 P.M, AND FRIDAY AND SATURDAY FROM 09:00 A.M. TO 05:00 P.M.

THE MICHAEL J. FELIX COMMUNITY CENTER IS OPEN MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY, 09:00 A.M. TO 09:00 P.M. FRIDAY, 09:00 A.M. TO 07:00 P.M, AND SATURDAY FROM 09:00 A.M. TO 05:00 P.M. A LITTLE BIT OF BACKGROUND ON IT.

THIS ANNUAL CONCRETE CONTRACT WILL BE USED TO SET UNIT PRICES FOR ROADWAY, SIDEWALK AND ALLEY REHABILITATION, ANY CONCRETE PAVING REPAIRS THAT ARE NECESSARY TO MAINTAIN THE CITY'S CONCRETE INFRASTRUCTURE.

WE'LL BE ABLE TO USE THIS CONTRACT TO SET UNIT PRICES SO WE CAN BETTER ESTIMATE THE AMOUNT OF CONCRETE WE CAN BUY WITHIN THE 2023- '24 BUDGET.

THE UNIT COSTS AND THIS CONTRACT WILL LAST FOR ONE YEAR AND THERE IS A ONE YEAR RENEWAL OPTION ON IT.

WE HAVE SELECTED TWO CONTRACTORS.

THIS ALLOWS US FLEXIBILITY WHEN SCHEDULING CONCRETE WORK.

IF ONE OF THE CONTRACTORS, THE APPARENT LOW BIDDER CAN'T GET THERE FOR ANY REASON, HE SAYS, I'M THREE MONTHS OUT.

WE CAN CALL THE NEXT GUY AND CONTINUE TO DO WORK WITHOUT SEEING A LONG LEAD TIME ON THESE PROJECTS.

OVERVIEW HERE IS THE 2023 THROUGH '24 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PLAN INCLUDES PROJECTS TO REPLACE, IMPROVE, OR MAINTAIN MISCELLANEOUS PAVING.

I'VE INCLUDED A LIST OF THE IDENTIFIED PROJECTS.

THEY INCLUDE THE HIGH RIDGE ALLEY REPAIRS, SIX STREET ALLEY AND STREET REPAIRS, MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE STREET REPAIRS, AND THE NEIGHBORHOOD PACKAGE PORTION OF THE 2021 BOND PROJECT.

IF THERE IS ADDITIONAL FUNDING, THEN WE CAN IDENTIFY ADDITIONAL AREAS WHERE CONCRETE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED.

STAFF'S RECOMMENDATION IS TO AUTHORIZE THE CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH MCMAHON CONTRACTING AND CCGMG, LLC SERIES B, AND AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $1,676,750.00 FOR THE 2024 ANNUAL CONCRETE CONTRACT.

THE CONTRACT IS FUNDED THROUGH THE 2021 BOND FUNDS, THE GENERAL FUND, SPECIFICALLY MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS, AND THE STREET MAINTENANCE TAX.

THIS IS THE SIXTH STREET ALLEY.

IT'S OVER AT SIXTH STREET AND SALMON, MOSTLY ON THE WEST SIDE.

ON THE LEFT SIDE OF THE MAP UP THERE, YOU CAN SEE THAT THAT IS ALMOST ALL YELLOW AND ORANGE IN THAT AREA.

WE'VE RECEIVED A NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS ON THAT ALLEY AS WELL SO THAT IS INCLUDED IN THIS.

THEY GAVE US A PRICE PER SQUARE YARD, DEPENDING ON WHAT THE THICKNESS IS.

AS YOU WOULD EXPECT, THE FOUR INCH SECTION IS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE.

WE'VE ADDED LANGUAGE INCORPORATING TOBLE AND MOTORIZED RECREATIONAL VEHICLES TO ACCOUNT FOR THESE VEHICLES, SPECIFICALLY WITHIN OUR ORDINANCE, RELATIVE TO, I THINK, COUNCILWOMAN BUHLER'S COMMENTS ABOUT ALLOWING FOR LOADING AND UNLOADING FOR PEOPLE THAT ARE PREPARING TO TAKE THEIR RV FOR STORAGE OR GET IT PREPARED TO GO TO THE LAKE OR WHEREVER THEY MAY BE GOING.
