I ALSO ENCOURAGED THE CITY OF SACHSE TO BE THE TOP LEAD IN THE CROSS CROSSING GUARD PAY, WHICH WILL CUT DOWN ON THE TURNOVER AND KEEP OUR STUDENTS AND PARENTS SAFE. I'M NOT AT ALL AGAINST PAY ADJUSTMENTS, BUT AT SOME POINT IN TIME YOUR CITY WILL AT ONE TIME BE BEHIND IN THE PAY STRUCTURES. I MEAN, THERE'S NO WAY OF GETTING AROUND THAT.
I JUST ASK THAT THAT THE CITY PLEASE REEVALUATE.

THE DESIGN PROJECT INCLUDES THE RECONSTRUCTION OF APPROXIMATELY 4500 LINEAR FEET OF EXISTING TWO LANE ASPHALT ROADWAY. WE'RE GOING TO BE UPDATING THE EXISTING DRAINAGE INCLUDING A BRIDGE DESIGN, WILL INCLUDE INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS, LIGHTING, LANDSCAPE AND PEDESTRIAN SAFETY DESIGN FOR A TRAIL WHICH WILL GO ON THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ROAD, AND WATER AND SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE IS ALSO BEING REPLACED.
FOR THE UPDATE WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING ON 90% CONSTRUCTION PLANS.
I EXPECT TO GET THOSE BY THE END OF THIS WEEK.
WE'LL HAVE THE 90% SET DONE. WE HAVE PRELIMINARY RIGHT OF WAY EXHIBITS.
THEY WERE SUBMITTED BY THE CONSULTANT FOR CITY REVIEW IN MAY.
SO JUST LAST MONTH, WE HAVE ALREADY SUBMITTED THE CLOSURE PACKAGE TO FEMA.
THOSE TAKE 90 DAYS TO REVIEW FROM FEMA. AND IT'S IN MY EXPERIENCE, IF THEY SAY 90 DAYS, IT TAKES 89.25 ALL THE WHOLE TIME. CONSTRUCTION IS ESTIMATED TO BEGIN IN DECEMBER OF 2025 AND GO THROUGH JUNE OF 2027.

THE DRAINAGE IS IN BARDIC SECTIONS ON BOTH SIDES OF THE ROAD.
MAJOR FLOODING, DRAINAGE AND EROSION ISSUES ARE PRESENT AT SALMAN PARK AND PUBLIC WORKS RECENTLY DID AN OVERLAY OF THE ROAD BACK IN 2023. THIS IS THE FOURTH ROADWAY DESIGN PROJECT, AND IT IS ALSO PART OF THE 2021 BOND PACKAGE.
WE ARE RECONSTRUCTING A 3600 LINEAR FEET OF EXISTING ASPHALT STREET.
